SCIMP Special Interest Group 2017

MEDICATIONS AT THE TRANSITIONS OF CARE – HOW DO WE FIX THIS?

SCIMP are hosting this professional interest, educational meeting on 3rd / 4th March 2017.

These are small group meetings aimed at health and eHealth professionals working in, with or for the NHS which will examine in depth a challenging eHealth topic. This affords us the opportunity to share experience and knowledge, and learn from others in a relaxed and informal environment outside the usual working day.

ABOUT

SCIMP are hosting this health informatics Special Interest Group meeting for health and eHealth professionals across NHS Scotland and the rest of the UK.

Safely managing medications and prescriptions for patients as they transfer between community and hospital care is a significant challenge with many clinical risks. This meeting will facilitate discussion on the possible ways we can use eHealth to make this better – what are the clinical priorities and opportunities after “Closing the Loop”, and with the introduction of electronic prescribing in hospitals. Can we make things easier for the prescribers, and safer for our patients?
