The electronic Palliative Care Summary
ePCS is a significant development which allows GPs and District Nurses to record information on the palliative and end of life needs of their patients onto their GP software system, and for this to be available to those providing care in the Out of Hours period. Further information and leaflets are available on the Emergency Care Summary [NHS only] website.
Extensive information on ePCS is also available on the ePCS website [NHS only]. If you would like to try the clinical guidelines, please do so by looking at the attached links.
Useful documents relating to the project are linked below. Please note this includes guidance for use of ePCS in the GPASS and EMIS systems. Guidance for use of ePCS in INPS (Vision) can be found at (http://www.inps4.co.uk/my_vision/guidelines/) where you should scroll down to the section called “ePCS guideline for Scotland”.
Documentation is available in PowerPoint and PDF formats.
